Miri Customs & Excise Dept's
visit to KB

Exchanging souvenirs
Fifty delegates from the Miri Customs
and Excise Department headed by its Assistant Director Awg Hj Ahmad
bin Napiah paid a goodwill visit for the first time to the Kuala
Belait Customs and Excise Department. The two-day visit started on
Friday.
In a welcoming dinner, Pg Abdullah
bin Pg Hj Damit from the Kuala Belait Customs and Excise Department
said in his speech that the visit aimed to foster a closer
relationship between both parties and also to organise friendly sports
match.
Through the visit, both parties could
exchange ideas and information relating to their tasks and daily
responsibilities which could be resourceful to prevent smuggling
activities as well as enhance cooperation between the two parties in
maintaining the peace and economy of their respective countries, he
added.
The highlight at the dinner was
souvenir presentation for the participants in the friendship golf
tournament and football competition.
Sports activities such as golf,
netball and football competitions and friendly games of ping-pong and
badminton were organised.
