By Liza Mohd

The chief guest at the roadshow
The BERSATU Association organised a
roadshow in Kuala Belait yesterday to introduce the former
participants of the Southeast Asian Youth Ship to the whole of the
district. The roadshow was held at the Municipal Hall and the chief
guest at the event was Awg Abd Majid bin Alias, the Chairman of the
Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Board.
The aim of the roadshow is to
introduce to the public, particularly youths, the identity of the
association. It also aims to attract the interest of the former
participants of the youth ship and to encourage them to participate
actively in the association activities.
According to chairman of the event,
Awg Mosli bin Hj Abdul Hadis, there are currently 592 former
participants who are still taking part in the youth ship.
He hoped more people would come to
know activities run by the association at both the national and
international levels through photography exhibition and video
presentation which would give the visitors an illustration of the real
programme conducted by the youth ship plan.
Through the roadshow, BERSATU
Association could share experience and interaction with the visitors
particularly youths who are interested to know and participate in the
plan if the entry is open.
The most exciting experience is
staying with the foster family in every Asean country and in Japan,
Awg Mosli highlighted.
BERSATU Association was formed in
1987 after Brunei had fully participated in 1985.
