House For A Poor Widow On the Way

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Brunei Islamic Religious Council has begun to build a house for a widow, Dayang Nuraini binti Rabaha from Kampong Pengkalan Sibawo in Mukim Mentiri as part of its continuous effort to alleviate the burden of the poor and the needy.

The Acting Secretary of the Islamic Religious Council Awang Haji Wahab led the start of the building ceremony.

The house costing $48,400 will be completed in three months.

Dayang Nuraini has six children and works as a cleaner. Currently, she is staying at a government rented house under the Education Ministry in Jalan Muara.

This is the fourth project conducted by the council and the first three are already occupied.
