Featuring Valvetronic and
direct-injection, the BMW 760Li, the latest in BMW flagship of 7
series was launched yesterday at QAF Auto in Beribi, Gadong. The 760Li
12-cylinder power unit takes new technological leaps securing BMW's
leadership status in the luxury performance segment. It accelerates
from 0-100 km/h in 5.5 secs, with acceleration to 200 km/h in barely
17secs and top speed limited to 250 km/h. This 6-speed automatic
transmission with steptronic function, has a maximum torque of 600
Nm/lb-ft.
The most outstanding example of this
superiority is clearly the 12-cylinder power unit, the world's first
direct-injection 12-cylinder to enter the market. Offering both driver
and passengers alike the most sophisticated standard of motoring
genuine style, simply because the 12-cylinder power unit is the very
best drive technology a saloon in the top luxury performance is able
to offer.
Unparalled smoothness and refinement
combined with the determined acceleration to provide a unique
experience in class, power and performance. It is so quiet that it is
impossible to hear the engine idling or when travelling at a steady
pace. This, indeed, is precisely what purchasers of such car expect in
terms of discreet modesty and understatement.
Opening the engine compartment, you
will admire a genuine masterpiece in engine construction with looks to
match its inner values: the new 12-cylinder direct fuel injection,
four-valve technology and fully variable valve control. The sound of
the V12 changes from a silent rumble into a more perceptible, melodic
chortle, thus bearing testimony to the sporting genes which lurk
within.
The Yatchline concept car, designed
by BMW individual features a carefully selected combination of
exclusive equipment, giving it a authentic yatching character and thus
enables many BMW 7 Series customers who have a passion for yatching,
show their passion through their choice of car.
The interior gives its maritime
character, deco trim in the cockpit and in the rear compartment is
made of high-grade mahogany which incorporates maple strips, bestowing
the interior an exclusive yatching ambience, further accentuated by
the emblems of a compass embroidered on the anthracite floor carpet.
Visionary, luxury, power, elegance,
beauty, dynamic, pioneering, are words that encapsulate the spirit of
this unique realm of visions and success, and what could better
describe the spirit of this new BMW 760Li.
