Village Heads In Brunei Come Under
Minister's Notice

Begawan - Village heads in Brunei came under close scrutiny
yesterday when Penghulus and village leaders were advised to be
proactive and continuously monitor activities in their areas.
The Deputy Minister of Home Affairs
Dato Awang Haji Adanan said this during a working visit to Mukim
Lumapas.
Dato Awang Haji Adanan said Penghulus
and village leaders must play their role and responsibilities with
full commitment and dedication. He also called on Mukim and Kampong
Consultative Councils to arrange and plan programmes to improve the
economy of welfare of the community.
During the visit, Dato Awang Haji
Adanan had a closer look at various economic activities in Mukim
Lumapas such as the Tabong Simpanan Amanah Mukim Lumapas, Tasamul
Building and traditional weaving company the Hikma Enterprise.
The damaged road leading to Kampong
Kasat also came under the attention of the Deputy Minister.
The visit was aimed at enhancing the
relationship between the Home Affairs Ministry and the residents of
the mukim as well as exchanging ideas on its development.
The visit was also manifestation of
His Majesty's government's concerns on the prosperity and well being
of the people.
