The passing-out parade for Setia
Protective Security Services (SPSS) personnel who had just completed a
basic course on security was held yesterday.
Present as the chief guest was Awg Hj
Jemat B. Hj Ampal, the Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's
Office, who is also the Director of the Internal Security Department
and Chairman of Board of Directors of SPSS.
About 113 personnel including men
(28th intake) and women (3rd intake) underwent the five-week training
course which aims to equip them with knowledge and education so as to
enable them to implement their tasks in an efficient and effective
manner. Among the subjects covered in the course are law, physical
exercises, discipline and self-defence.
The passing-out parade was
highlighted with an award presentation ceremony to the best security
guard. For men's intake, the best participant was S1364 Noor Azrin bin
Awg Ahad while for women's intake, the best participant was WS 1395
Ezalina bte Bujang.
