Begawan - "Don't drink and drive, value life." That
seemed to be the message the Limau Manis Police and the Syariah
Affairs officers wanted to convey when they conducted a raid on Monday
night.

Muslims who crossed the border to have a " quick drink"
which is an offence under the Kadhi Court as well as look for stolen
vehicles that intend to slip out of the country across the border.
The police said that some 19
four-wheel drive vehicles have been reported stolen and they were
looking for suspects who were trying to transport these stolen
vehicles out of the country.
Eleven Religious Enforcement Officers
from Syariah Affairs Department led by Hj Abdul Rahman and nine police
Limau Manis station led By Inspector Pg. Hj Damit conducted the one
and half hour operation that begain at 8.30 pm.
Those who drive under the influence
of alcohol are one of the contributing factors in car accidents. Not
only the casualties include the drivers and passengers themselves, but
also pedestrians and property.
During the raid, the officers found
three foreign women carrying dubious chicken meat and questioned
several local Muslims who crossed the border to have a
