Zainah Bujang at the opening ceremony
Sheraton Utama Hotel recently held an
opening ceremony of the hotel's new cafeteria. The opening ceremony
was attended by Datin Hajah Zainah Bujang, General Manager and
Executives, Department Heads and associates of the hotel.
To officially open the cafeteria,
Datin Hajah Zainah Bujang was asked to cut the "Nasi Tumpeng".
Guests then enjoyed a delicious spread specially prepared for the
occasion.
In conjunction with the completion of
the new cafeteria, the Sheraton Sports and Social Club, chaired by Mr
Endang Sumantri, Executive Housekeeper, organised a renaming
competition for the new cafeteria. Out of the 221 creative and
imaginative entries, the management finally decided on Mr Karim Hj
Samat from Bell and Security Department. Mr Karim, who walked away
with a $100 cash prize, came up with the patriotic name "Utama
Corner" for the cafe.
Datin Hajah Zainah Bujang and Mr.
Endang Sumantri presented Mr Karim with his prize. This was followed
by a "Doa Selamat" read by Awangku Jasni, also from the Bell
and Security Department, to bless the new cafeteria.
