Before the launching the fund, Pehin Hussain said that the national committee of the humanitarian aid fund would make sure that the Iraqi people would receive the contributions.

The launching ceremony was then followed by the presentation of donations from and by the Culture, Youth and Sports Minister and the Religious Affairs Minister, Pehin Dato Dr Ustaz Awang Haji Mohd Zain as a co-adviser. Others too presented donations.

At the same time, the Culture, Youth and Sports Minister also received donations for the fund from several associations and private firms in the sultanate.
