Also present were the school's Chairman, Mr. Andrew Wong, parents and students from Primary 1 to Form 5. In his speech, Cikgu Arsad noted the improvement the school had made over the last five years. He said that examination results are still indicators of a school's progress. In this respect, he was pleased to say that in the GCE, the school had improved from 40% passes in 1998 to 78.5% passes in 2002. The school's PSR results had also improved from 85% in 1998 to 90% in 2002. In the PMB, he observed that the percentage of students streamed into O-levels had increased, while the percentage of N-level students had decreased.

The school awarded prizes and certificates to top students from every class and top students in the public examinations. In addition, there were special categories such as the Community Award, the Best Athlete Award, the Most Voracious Reader Award, and the Best Scholarship Student.
