Move Forward And Be Dynamic Historical Society Told

Bandar Seri Begawan - Members of the Brunei Historical Society had been urged to work together in developing the society, which is not active enough.

The call came from the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Dato Awang Haji Yahya at the 4th Annual General Meeting of the Brunei Historical Society (PESABAR) yesterday at the Islamic Dakwah Centre in Berakas.

Pehin Dato Awang Haji Yahya who is also the President of the society said that it was time for members to move forward in ensuring the society still maintains its dynamism.

The meeting was to review minutes of the previous meeting, which was held in 1989 and to appoint new committee members of the PESABAR.

PESABAR was established in 1984 and now has 146 members who are mainly local history writers.
