Brunei.
Around 100 cyclists showed up for
a bicycling expedition organised by Badan Tanmiah Harta Majlis
Ugama Islam Brunei recently, which aimed to raise funds for the
ASD Centre that caters for children diagnosed with autism.
Cyclists covered a 19km
distance, which commenced and concluded at the Badan Tanmiah Kg
Pengkalan Industrial Area.
Smarter Brunei wishes to convey
their appreciation to Badan Tanmiah Harta Majlis Ugama Islam
Brunei as well as the organising committee for preparing such an
event, and hopes that other bodies or individuals will also
initiate such events in the future. Following the success of the
sporting event, a presentation of the raised-funds was held
yesterday at Smarter Brunei's own ASD Centre located at Jigsaw
Primary School in Berakas.
Present to hand over the cheque
valued at $2,006 to the President of Smarter Brunei was the
Acting Director of Badan Tanmiah Harta Majlis Ugama Islam
Brunei, Awg Yusof Hj Abd Rahman. Shortly after, Hj Malai
Abdullah, President of Smarter Brunei also received a $6,000
cheque from Hj Adinin & Son Co.
