A workshop for enhancing the
skills in art was held yesterday morning at the Museum Discovery
Hall of the Brunei Museum.
Twenty students in Primary 4
from Sekolah Rendah Dato Gandhi headed by Cikgu Ruhaimi Bte Hj
Tajuddin were taught the basics of drawing techniques.

Omar said this is the second outreach programme organised by the
Brunei Museum. There will be more programmes lined up in the
future. This workshop is open to individuals, associations,
artists, government agencies, private sector or education
institutions keen to learn in art and to enhance their art
skills, he said.
Brunei Museum also organised a
symposium workshop seminar or speech and are participants in the
exhibition, he said.
On the first week, they are
introducing art appliances and materials to the students and
showing how to do the basics of the drawing. It was learnt the
pencils required to draw is F-2H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6b-8b and others.
Before doing the drawing, he
said the things to be learned in drawing are the subject,
perspective, colours, shape and value.
