Visit made to Ministry of Industry and Primary
Resources.
Mr Yu Youjun, the Mayor of
Shenzhen, made a courtesy call yesterday morning to the Ministry
of Industry and Primary Resources.
Present to welcome him were the
Minister of Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources, Pehin
Dato Orang Kaya Setia Pahlawan Dato Seri Awang Haji Abdul Rahman
Dato Setia Awang Haji Mohammed Taib and the Permanent Secretary
of MIPR, Dato Paduka Haji Idris Haji Belaman.
Accompanying Mr Yu Youjun was
the Ambassador of the Peoples' Republic of China, Mr Wei Wei.
The objective of the courtesy call was to foster relations of
trade and tourism between the two countries.
It was one of the last stops
made by Mr Yu Youjun before leaving Brunei in the afternoon. Mr
Yu Youjun expressed to the Minister of MIPR that he was
delighted with the reception he had received while being in the
country and was thrilled to visit its many places of interest.
At the end of the discussion,
Mr Yu Youjun believed that the visit had achieved its goal,
strengthening ties in terms of trade and tourism between Brunei
and the City of Shenzhen, the Peoples' Republic of China.
