The Minister of Health, Pehin Dato
Hj Awg Abu Bakar Hj Apong yesterday conducted a visit to the
Brunei International Airport in Berakas where he checked up on
the various steps required to handle the SARS outbreak that has
affected various countries in the Asian region.
He was accompanied by several
officials and doctors from RIPAS Hospital. At the airport, they
met briefly at the VIP check-in area before proceeding to the
arrival hall to conduct the check.
The Ministry of Health is
actively reminding the public on the symptoms of the syndrome.
The public is to be aware of
common symptoms and signs of the health risk, which include a
sudden onset of high fever, cough and shortness of breath or
difficulty in breathing. For any enquiries on the matter, the
