Seria's AA College Holds Golden Jubilee

Kuala Belait - The Anthony Able College, the oldest education centre in the Belait District celebrated its Golden Jubilee yesterday.

A member of the Brunei Legislative Council Dato Haji Abidin officiated the celebration.

At the ceremony, the schools former principals and deputy principals' form 1952 to 2003 were honoured with the certificates of appreciation.

Also present at the ceremony was the Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara, YAM Pengiran Leila Cheteria Sahibul Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz, the school's former student and the Education Minister Pehin Dato Awang Haji Abdul Aziz, deputy minister and permanent secretaries.

To mark the ceremony, Dato Haji Abidin also officiated the inauguration of college's Golden Jubilee Library.

The Anthony Able College was established on December 2, 1952, back then it was known as the Government English School, Kuala Belait.
