Brunei And Canada To Cooperate In
Medical Studies

Begawan - The signing of a memorandum of agreement between the
University of Brunei Darussalam (UBD) and the Dalhousie University,
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada to collaborate in medical studies was
held this afternoon.
This will affirm the desire of both
universities to establish a cooperative relationship, which would
serve as a framework for further collaborative activities between the
two institutions, officials said.
The two institutions will cooperate
in the field of Medicine in activities such as faculty exchanges,
development and/or delivery of courses and also in research.
During the signing of the MOU,
Dalhousie University was represented by Dr Tom Traves, while the
signatories on behalf of UBD were Dr Hj Ismail Bin Hj Duraman, the
Vice-Chancellor of UBD and Dr Zulkarnain Bin Hj Hanafi, the Dean of
the Institute of Medicine.
Present to witness the ceremony were
the Guest of Honour, Mr Paul SH Lau, High Commissioner of Canada to
Brunei, Brunei officials and Brunei alumni members of Dalhousie
University.
The signing ceremony took place at
the Conference Room on the 2nd floor at the University Brunei
Darussalam.
