65 Sars suspected cases in Malaysia;4 Dies


Kuala Lumpur
The  number of people referred to the ministry of health to be screened for suspected Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) in Malaysia has increased to 65 compared to 59 yesterday, Bernama reported. The Director general of health ,Dr Mohammad Taha Ariff, said of the six new cases  referred to hospitals,three were in Kuching,two in Kuala Lumpur and one in Ipoh. As the worlld Health Organization(WHO) team arrived in Guangdong Province.epicentre of the outbreak of SARS, China ,Hong kong and Singapore each reported another death from the disease from the disease,afp reported.A seventh SARS death was also reported in Canada., where CBC radio quoted Ontario's public security commissioner Dr James Young  as saying that a 57 year old woman had died late wednesday of the disease.Provincial health officials said a man  in Hunan province had become China's 47th SARS fatality while in Hong Kong the authorities said the eath toll from SARS had risen to 17 with the dath of a 56 year old doctor.
