Road hump with bolts and nuts jutting out.
A road hump installed near a
government building has received some objections from members of
the public.
"As nuts and bolts jut out
around the hump," according to some, "It has caused
damage to car tyres."
An angry road user even pointed
out: "It (the hump) is the most unfriendly speed-slowing
device I had ever come across."
According to him, the hump was
presumably built to halt unauthorised personnel from entering
the premises of the government building. "If that was the
case, relevant authorities should have built manned gates
instead."
"However," he added,
" some unfortunate road users who were unfamiliar with the
surrounding of the complex had no other choice but to drive over
the 'unfriendly' hump to exit the premises."
"There have been occasions
where road users come across road humps that were 'too high' for
their vehicles to go over," he said.
Meanwhile, some errant
homeowners whose houses were near the side of public roads have
'privately' set up humps nearby, he pointed out. "Road
humps should not be installed without permission and approval
from relevant authorities."
