Phone lines working, not PABX system

With reference to the news "State Mufti telephones out of order" published in the Borneo Bulletin on April 1, the Corporate Communications Unit of the Telecoms Department (JTB) clarified that the State Mufti's PABX system, which is not supplied or maintained by JTB, is currently not working due to a damaged rectifier since March 21, 2003.

In a statement made by the unit to the Bulletin, the JTB maintenance team have checked the telephone lines and confirmed that they are in good working condition.
