The other Saddam Hussein wants to
change his name
Baghdad - An
Iraqi refugee wants to change his name because he says: "It's no
fun being called Saddam Hussein these days."
Saddam, who now lives in Norway,
wants to change his name to Dastanse Rasol Hussein, reports
Aftenposten.
The 20-year-old Kurd, who lives in
Nome in the mountainous Telemark district, says his real name is
nothing but trouble.
"When my father chose the name
20 years ago, we didn't know what we now know about Saddam," he
says.
"The president was a respected
man, even among Kurds. It wasn't shameful to be called 'Saddam'
then."
Saddam says most people tease him
when they discover his name and that he has been receiving obscene
calls from people who find his name in the telephone directory.
