His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Pg Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee
Billah hosted a high tea yesterday afternoon at the Sports
Complex of Istana Nurul Iman for the multi-national Disney
troupe and backstage crew.
Also present were HRH Prince
Abdul 'Azim, HRH Prince Abdul Mateen and other members of the
royal family.
HRH the Crown Prince was
accompanied by Prince Abdul Qawi, Executive Deputy Chairman and
Director of QAF Brunei.
QAF Brunei has been organising
the Disney On Ice shows, a world class family entertainment, in
the sultanate for the past two years. The previous shows were
"Snow White and the Seven Dwarves" and "The
Little Mermaid". This year, a special show is being
performed to celebrate the 100th year of the formation of
Disney.
Asked by the Bulletin, a
smiling HRH the Crown Prince revealed that he enjoyed the show,
especially seeing the characters coming alive and the ice
skating prowess of the performers.
Disney On Ice - 100 Years of
Magic is showing at the Indoor Stadium until April 21. HRH the
Crown Prince graced the opening of the show in Brunei.
More than 90 Disney skaters and
backstage crew, who come from among others Russia, Japan,
Holland and the US, were invited to yesterday's reception.
Three Disney favourites -
Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Genie from Aladdin - were also
present at the reception where they mingled with members of the
royal family, particularly children.
The guests toured the sports
complex, which also has entertainment facilities.
