UAE Thrash Brunei, 12-0

Bandar Seri Begawan – Brunei lost to United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Group-8 favourites, 12-0, last night, in the Pre-World 2002 World Cup qualifying match at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.

UAE stunned the home crowd as early as the 15^th second of the game, then went five goals ahead in the first half.

Like the previous game against Yemen, the game is also telecast live in UAE.

Brunei is sitting bottom-most in the Group-8 of the Asia World Cup qualifiers, which comprises of  UAE, Yemen and India.
