Securicor Expands Operations

Securicor Sdn Bhd announced last Friday the geographical expansion of their operations in Brunei Darussalam in order to provide full national coverage of their entire portfolio of services to customers in the Sultanate. The Company are now offering their services ranging from Secure cash and Valuables transportation, to Guarding, Mobile patrol, and Alarm monitoring, to customers in the Seria and Kuala Belait districts, as well as extending the existing coverage within the Tutong area. The development will also create new employment opportunities in Brunei at a time when unemployment is on the increase.

Since first commencing operations a little under two years ago, Securicor's unique, and prominent, highly specialised vehicles have become a familiar sight on the streets of Bandar Seri Begawan as they transport cash securely on behalf of the city's Banks and retail customers.

The Company's Security guards can also be seen on duty in several prestigious locations around the Capital.

Securicor's Mobile Patrol Service, the first of its kind in Brunei, is a common sight as Securicor vehicles with trained guards aboard carry out nightly visits to customer's premises for the purpose of checking doors and windows and perimeter fences. The vehicle crews are in constant Radio Communication with the Securicor Control Centre and can provide real time reports on the status of any property.

This service is also used by some customers in instances when the family home is empty during vacation periods, or if a businessman is travelling away from home and wishes to provide additional security for his family during his absence.

The company also supplies Central Alarm Monitoring and Rapid response services in the event of unwanted intrusion to domestic or business premises.
