Prince to launch Supa Save debit card today
By Suriani Garip

In its efforts to improve operational standards and customer service, Smart (B) Sdn Bhd, which operates Supa Save and Smart supermarkets, will introduce its innovative Supa Save debit card today (April 14).

The Supa Save debit card will be officially launched by Prince Abdul Qawi, Executive Deputy Chairman and CEO of QAF Brunei, at Supa Save Gadong.

According to Smart (B) Sdn Bhd, the Supa Save card is being launched so that "we (Smart (B) Sdn Bhd) are able to gain better understanding of our customers and serve their needs better."

"Supa Save card is a magnetic swipe card. After scanning or keying the customers' shopping transaction, the check-out assistant swipes the card on a reader. When the card is swiped, the shopping cost will be deducted from the customer's bank account online."

The company disclosed that being a magnetic swipe card, it is fast to process at the check-outs.

In addition, Smart (B) Sdn Bhd said that being a debit card, it automatically debits the customer's account which avoids the hassle of making monthly payments and carrying around loads of cash.

"It earns bonus points that will be converted into free Supa Save shopping vouchers which you can use at all Supa Save and Smart supermarkets."

Other advantages of the Supa Save card is the 10% discount for dining at Millennium Restaurant and customers will be able to enjoy other privileges.

How to apply? The Supa Save card is free.

Smart (B) Sdn Bhd said, "Customers need only to register a savings or current account with Baiduri Bank and then complete the Supa Save card application form which is available at all Supa Save and Smart stores, Millennium Restaurant and Baiduri Bank branches."

"Applications can be submitted to any Supa Save stores or Baiduri Bank branches."
